On March 14th, Amb. Kim Young-chae of the Korea-Africa Foundation visited the UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea and met with Mr. Suh Jeong-in, Custodian of the UNMCK. They discussed ways to support African UN soldiers who lost their lives in service. Additionally, in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN and the 75th anniversary of the Korean War, they paid tribute to the fallen soldiers, including those from South Africa, by laying flowers and reflecting on the meaning of peace and freedom.
