2025 Korea-Africa Business Forum Celebrates Africa Day

On Wednesday, May 21, the Korea-Africa Foundation co-hosted the 2025 Korea-Africa Business Forum at the Grand Hyatt Seoul in collaboration with the African Group of Ambassadors (AGA) in Korea and the Herald Media Group. 

The event brought together around 500 participants, including officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, ambassadors and diplomats from African countries, scholars, media representatives, and business leaders.

Under the theme “Building Bridges, Creating Opportunities,” the forum featured two main sessions:
▲ Part 1: Korea-Africa Economic Cooperation Forum
▲ Part 2: Africa Day Celebration

The celebration included dynamic cultural performances by Korean and African artists, followed by a fashion show combining Korean hanbok and traditional African attire. Embassies from over 10 African countries also offered traditional dishes, allowing guests to experience the diverse flavors of Africa.

The event was widely praised as a meaningful platform for cultural diplomacy, fostering greater connection and dialogue between Korea and Africa through music, fashion, and food.
