Orientation for 2026 Young Professionals on Africa (YPA)
The Korea-Africa Foundation held the orientation for the 2026 Young Professionals on Africa (YPA) over two days, Thursday, May 21, and Friday, May 22, 2026, in both in-person and online formats.
During this orientation, participants received basic training on the African region?covering the continent’s history, politics, and economy, as well as the current state of exchanges between Korea and Africa?followed by a comprehensive overview of the YPA program, including its objectives, key tasks, implementation status, and important pre-deployment guidelines.
The 2026 YPA participants are scheduled to work at international think tanks such as the African Development Bank?African Development Institute (AfDB-ADI), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Africa Regional Office and Ethiopia Country Office, the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA), and the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD).
