Visit and Meeting with the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF)

The Korea-Africa Foundation visited the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, on July 30, 2026, and held discussions with Executive Director Danford Sango and other representatives.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed Tanzania’s national development strategy, Vision 2050, its industrial development policies, strategies for developing the critical minerals sector, and the country’s investment environment. They also exchanged views on opportunities for cooperation across the mineral supply chain and ways to expand industrial cooperation between Korea and Tanzania, including manufacturing development, technology transfer, and human resource development.

The Korea-Africa Foundation will continue to strengthen its cooperation network with leading research institutions across Africa and expand the foundation for substantive cooperation between Korea and Africa through policy research and knowledge exchange in strategic industries, including critical minerals.
