The Korea-Africa Foundation hosted the 2019 Africa Week under the theme, “Korea-Africa, Draw the Future Together” on Saturday, June 6, 2019 at the Cheonggyecheon Square. The 2019 Africa Week celebration featured a variety of performances to showcase the unique African culture, arts and music as follows.

• Performance 1: Doomchit Doomchit, West African rhythm and dance by Fonike

• Performance 2: Afro jazz by Thomas Guei and the Korea African Music and Dance Lab (AMDK)

• Performance 3: 

In addition, there was the Gembe and Dance Workshop and Flashmob by Barakan, Solo Keita and Moustapha Bangoura, a talk show on “I’ve been to Africa” by Donspike and an outdoor movie screening of the 2018 African film, Up North.
