The Korea-Africa Foundation held an online orientation for the 4th Model African Union Assembly on Friday, June 18, 2021.
The 4th Model African Union Assembly is scheduled to be held from Thursday, August 26 to Friday, August 27, 2021, and will serve as a platform to discuss major issues in the African continent while providing an opportunity for delegates to experience the way international conferences are held.
The orientation included assigning delegates to 18 African countries by lottery and lectures on “Understanding the African Continent and the African Union (AU)”.
Delegates will be given an opportunity to acquire knowledge concerning their selected agenda through interviews with the respective African Embassy in Korea and exchanges with their African mentor. The winner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Award will be provided the opportunity to visit the African Union (AU) headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
