On November 8, 2023, the Korea-Africa Foundation held the online ceremony for the disbandments of African Continent Correspondents of 2023. Comprising 35 individuals from 28 African countries, these correspondents have been actively engaged in accumulating the latest information and news from the African continent and enhancing mutual understanding between Korea and Africa for the past 10 months, starting from February of this year.

The ceremony commenced with words of encouragement from Woon-Ki Lyeo, the President of the Korea-Africa Foundation, followed by a group photo session and an award ceremony to recognize and honor outstanding correspondents. The event concluded with the correspondents sharing their reflections on their activities. The Korea-Africa Foundation plans to provide and opportunity for the selected five outstanding correspondents to visit Korea.
