The Korea-Africa Foundation held the 2024 African Continent Correspondents Inauguration Ceremony online on Wednesday, March 20th.
The newly selected correspondents consist of 23 individuals from 23 different African countries. They will be responsible for gathering first-hand information and trends from various countries and regions across Africa and compiling reports. Additionally, the correspondents will directly participate in activities organized by the Korean government, related institutions, and companies in Africa, actively promoting these activities to enhance Korea's image and foster mutual understanding and exchange.
The ceremony began with a welcoming speech by president Woonki Lyeo. It was followed by an introduction to the program, a lecture on report writing, and presentations sharing the experiences of outstanding correspondents from the previous year.
The reports written by the correspondents can be found on the Korea-Africa Foundation's website (www.k-af.or.kr) under the 'African Continent Correspondents' section.
