Orientation and Africa Startup Academy for the 2024 Korea-Africa Startup Incubation&Contest implementation
The orientation for the 'academy teams' that passed the preliminary screening for the 2024 Korea-Africa Startup Incubation&Contest took place on September 6th.
After a brief orientation covering the overall schedule, key considerations, and an introduction of each team, the [Africa Startup Academy] officially commenced.
The first session featured a lecture by Mr. Jong-kil Lee, the director of KAF, who provided an overview of the African startup ecosystem and highlighted key local startups across various sectors. In the afternoon, Mr. Tae-hoon Kim, Executive Director of ZetaPlan Investment, gave a lecture on "Scaling Up Strategies for Startups," helping the teams to outline their long-term goals and gain practical, step-by-step strategies. During the networking lunch, participants had the chance to meet each other, introduce their businesses.
