2024 Korea-Africa Startup Incubation&Contest [Africa Startup Academy (2nd Session)] Held
On September 24, the second session of the Africa Startup Academy, part of the 2024 Korea-Africa Startup Incubation & Contest program, was held. The session opened with a warm welcome and encouragement from Ambassador Kim Young-chae, who was inaugurated as the third chairman of the Korea-Africa Foundation on the same day.
Following this, Professor Lee Jae-hoon from Daejin University delivered a lecture titled "African Startups: Understanding the Narrative of Success and Failure in the Market." This session provided insights into the realities of the African market, shared know-how for market analysis, and explored strategies through case studies of successes and failures.
After the lecture, individual one-on-one mentoring sessions with experts in the African market followed. Each participating team received 30 minutes of mentoring focused on business model development, market analysis, localization consulting, and enhancing their investment readiness (IR).
Our academy team is continually evolving, with a two-day workshop and evaluation scheduled for October 7-8. We sincerely appreciate your continued interest and support for the forthcoming initiatives of the academy team.
