2022 Korea-Africa Foundation Global Startup Idea Final Competition

On November 16, the "2022 Korea-Africa Foundation Global Startup Idea Final Competition" was held. Over the past four months, the participating teams have been through △ 1:1 customized consulting for Africa regional experts, and △ systematic support such as Start Up! Boost Up! Camp in Tunisia, 10 selected teams have grown further with the considerable support.
After a fierce Q&A Session from the judges for 10 teams, here's the result!
1st place Nechon Global (Desert Greening Project through Agriculture and Forestry)
2nd place Durango (Community-based agricultural product purchase service connecting rural Kenya and cities)
3rd place Banseok Industrial Co., Ltd. (Peanut Agricultural Machinery Distribution Business) and Sammulteo Co., Ltd. (Automatic Underground Water Level Measurement Device Business Using IoT Measurement Method)
Four teams were selected, and each of the winners were awarded the prize 20 million won, 10 million won, and 5 million won as start-up business support fund. All the participants of Startup Idea Contest have been steadily developing, including establishing corporations at home and abroad, increasing regular employment, applying for patents and trademarks, and signing business agreements with African companies, and the nation's leading investors also responded positively to the growth potential of our startups.
