2023 Korea-Africa Foundation Global Startup Idea Final Competition

On December 13 (Wed), the "2023 Korea-Africa Foundation Global Startup Idea Final Competition" was held. Over the past seven months, the participating teams have been through △ 1:1 customized consulting for Africa regional experts, and △ systematic support such as Start Up! Boost Up! Camp in Tunisia, 15 selected teams have grown further with the considerable support.
In the final round, 15 teams in various fields, including Agri-Tech, Edu-Tech, E-Commerce, and new materials, passionately pitched through the whole program.
As a result, the long-awaited First place is the Metatexture, a plant-based alternative egg production team with nutritional value that distinguishes it from ordinary eggs. The second place is a art trading and rental platform that provides opportunities to exhibit and sell works for African artists with unique pieces. There are two teams in the third place. The first team is HDM, which is the beam projector using artificial intelligence deep learning motion detection software is an item. The second team is Nekku, which produces and sells global top loaders for K-pop fans.
'The Korea-Africa Foundation Global Startup Idea Competition' is a project that supports entry into the African market by establishing local corporations and realizing sales through the commercialization of early stage start-ups. In the future, the KAF will continue to provide support to start-ups to achieve its best results.
